Throughout January, I have largely pondered questions focused on the Green Belt courses, Let’s begin…
I was wondering how long it would take to complete the green belt training, I am interested in the online program. How many courses, and on average how much time per course for the online version?
A. Classroom training is 4-6 days, depending if any extra modules are been undertaken. I anticipate 30-40 hours of independent study with Green Belt open classroom training.
Is there a difference in grade and certificate, between the online, blended or classroom courses?
A. No, the level attained is the same. The only difference is your preference on how you would like to take the course. Catalyst offer multiple delivery methods, each with its distinct advantages, so that the training can work around your schedule and location.
Can I start straight from Green Belt level?
A. Yes, you can start from any level, without been certified at a level below.
When you say “external certification”, does that mean that I have to co-ordinate with a 3rd entity to be formally Green Belt certified?
A. No, Catalyst will organise all of that for you. They work with the British Quality Foundation and co-lead their Lean Six Sigma Academy.
What books can I use to learn about Lean Six Sigma?
A. There are several books you can purchase to learn about Lean Six Sigma. Catalyst experts actually wrote several of them. I suggest these books about Lean Six Sigma:
