How do I know this is the right course for me?

The Black Belt programme is equally suited to those from Manufacturing and Service based organisations. If you want to learn how to use data confidently and correctly in your projects or day-to-day role you will find that this course meets your needs. The technical/data side is balanced with a comprehensive and practical change management module to help you influence your colleagues and achieve buy-in for your improvements. We are of course aware that there are other Black Belt offerings and it is not easy to choose but with Catalyst you have the assurance of learning with a 20+ year established business who have trained thousands of Black Belts across all business types , who have literally written the book (Lean Six Sigma for Dummies) and are the recommended Lean Six Sigma training provider of the British Quality Foundation.

Are there any pre-requisites to the course?

You can start the programme from the beginning of Green Belt training or enter at a later stage by taking advantage of our modular approach.  If you trained elsewhere there’s usually not a problem but please check with us so we can identify and help you with any gaps which need to be addressed for the BQF certification process.

How long do I have to complete a online course?

You will have online access for 12 months.

Do you offer discounts for groups?

Yes, we offer discounts for groups, please call us on  +44 (0)845 345 2282 for further information or email us at info@catalystconsulting.co.uk

Do I need a project to complete the course?

We do recommend that you apply your training through project work but it’s not a pre-requisite for training. If you want to become a BQF certified Black Belt you will need to lead two successful projects.

What support do you offer to help me with the training?

Online delegates will be assigned one of our classroom trainers as your personal tutor. Our trainers are all experienced Lean Six Sigma practitioners who have been there and done it for real prior to joining Catalyst.  You will be able to email and speak to your tutor for guidance as you work through the training programme.

Classroom delegates are encouraged to seek guidance from their trainer as they apply the training to their projects. We offer formal coaching packages where additional support is required.

Do I receive a training certificate?

Once you have completed the training you will receive a certificate of completion. You will also receive written confirmation that you have passed the exam. You can be certified through the British Quality Foundation as a optional extra.

How many CPD points is the course worth?

The Green Belt programme is worth 80 CPD Points.

The upgrade from GreenBelt to Advanced Green Belt is worth an additional 80 CPD Points.

Effective Change Management adds CPD 40 points.

Advanced Black Belt Tools adds 40 CPD points.

Lean Six Sigma for Innovation and Design adds 40 CPD points.

Therefore, the Black Belt programme is worth 240 CPD points without LSSID and 280 points with LSSID.

Can I upgrade to other courses after completion?

If you have not included Lean Six Sigma for Innovation and Design (Design for Lean Six Sigma) in your Black Belt package, this would often be a logical next step.

Some Black Belts will wish to progress to Master Black Belt level and we offer a training and development programme leading to BQF MBB certification. Please contact us if you would like any more information.

Can you provide Black Belt training aligned to the ASQ Body of Knowledge?

Yes. We do deliver ASQ Green and Black Belt programmes and also a bridge programme from BQF to ASQ.
